hi all,
happy oh-nine!

it was so nice to see the family last week. thanks for a great christmas.

update on the car situation. it looks bad. the head gasket something something. sounds expensive but i'm just glad we got back in one piece, all four of us. we are lucky to be able to do without a car for awhile so the situation is not that dire, just inconvenient and expensive like a lot of things i guess.

roxy is feeling much better. she was so excited to come home, i think for lack of fleas even though she probably had the only one left in december. oh well. city dog...

i'm just trying now to focus on school which is harder than i thought it would be. as usual putting things off to the last minute. in the process of making a portfolio which i will send to everyone once i finish. a nice souvenir. also applying for a scholarship that is due next week. woops.

ok here are some pics of utah and your truly. mom asked for them, not just making you look at my face.

anyway, love to all.

Wall Hangings for Baby's Room

i made these for our friends' baby that should be here any day now. they are felt and handsewn, about 10" x 10".
i had so much fun making these. makes me think i could try quilting. i just hope new baby boy likes them and grows up to love animals. and i hope there are still some left when he's older.

chipboard. 53 in all i think. 17 1/2 x 22 1/2.
It bigger(obviously) and better in person. The scan does it no justice.

i don't think anybody ever looks at this, do they? that's fine.

I'm going to finish drawing the poster for the record low. should be cool. i'm pretty happy with the drawing of a mushroom cloud. but a lot can happen between that and the print. the plan is a red white and blue theme. here's the sketch (mirror image.)

like i said, sketch.

i'll post the finished product sometime this week.
